Began Kindergarten. Art was the best part of the day. And kickball.







June, 1993

Saw Jurassic Park in the theater. I was six. It was terrifying.

Sept, 1994

My grandpa died. He was a landscape, oil painter. He had paintings hung all over the world. His best were of the ocean.







Jun, 1995

Moved to Prescott, Arizona. Home of the World’s Oldest Rodeo.

May, 1996

Made a ceramic turtle in art class. Won first prize at the county fair. I wish that were enough creative validation to last a lifetime.







Mar, 1997

Joined a lifelong brotherhood of champions when The Sandsharks finished the season undefeated in AYSO Soccer.







Jun, 1998

Swam in the Arctic Ocean. I’ve got my certificate to the Polar Bear Club around here somewhere.

Jul, 2000

Kickflipped an eight stair. Skateboarding led to my appreciation of graphic design and photography.

Mar, 2001

Shot my first skate video with a borrowed camcorder. Edited it with a VCR. This led to my appreciation for film.







Mar, 2002

Travelled internationally for the first time. Went to Taiwan. Taken every chance to travel since.

Graduated high school. Now what do I even want to do with my life?

Finished art school. Went for the graphic design and ended up in some painting and life drawing classes too.

Married a cool girl who loves me. She is so creative that sometimes it makes me jealous.







Apr, 2010

Moved to Portland, Oregon.

Had our first kid.

Graduated college with a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership. This was less fun than art school, but “art” is in the title so it’s confusing.

Had our third kid. They are pretty cool.

Bought our first house and renovated it. It is old. Like, very old. It might have been a bad idea.

My grandma died. There is no other way to say this, but she was a real bad ass. She had a tattoo on her face she got in Papua New Guinea.







Jan, 2021

Began a Master’s program in Applied Leadership. Actually, it’s a double masters, but who is counting? (I am.)







sept, 2022

Sold our house. Bought another one and began renovating it. I guess we didn’t learn our lesson last time.
